# How does this protect brand’s end customers?

Actions taken by a brand translate directly into protection for Truecaller’s 450+ million global users. The system prevents malicious actors from using a brand’s protected assets to impersonate the business on Truecaller.

If a brand identifies and marks a number as a threat, calls from that entity may be flagged as **likely fraud** for users on Truecaller. In addition, users may receive warnings for suspicious messages that could indicate phishing attempts.

This helps create a safer communication environment by preventing customers from being misled by fraudulent callers impersonating trusted brands.
