This guide is your go-to resource, packed with everything you need to know for a hassle-free transition to the new Truecaller for Business console. Let's make your move both exciting and efficient!
We've enabled all users of the account to carry-on migration activity. This should help your business to do this process in a distributed and quick manner.
Here's a quick guide on the entire migration process.
Start by creating a blueprint of how you would like to organize numbers. This means, understanding which operations, processes and configurations you'd want to build. For example: A delivery business has 100 numbers for Order Delivery in equal proportion in 4 regions - North, South, East and West. Their number organization structure would look like : Department - Delivery Business Operation - Order Delivery Processes and number configurations -
North (Configuration 1 - 25 numbers),
South ( Configuration 2 - 25 numbers),
East (Configuration 3- 25 numbers),
West (Configuration 4 - 25 numbers)
Organize numbers in the old console into number groups that resemble configurations of a process.
For example, creating a number group like "Sales - Bengaluru" in the older console can help in directly copying number group into a feature-set.
Post migration, your Call Me Back and User Feedback features will have to be enabled again. Hence, make sure to export the numbers used for 'Call Me Back' and 'User Feedback'. By doing this, you can easily set them up again in the new configuration once your numbers are moved there.
Once migration to the new console begins, managing numbers in the old one will become view-only. The sooner you complete migration, the faster you will regain new and upgraded controls in the new console.
On your existing console, click on the orange banner on top to begin the migration.
Build your calling operations structure to configure numbers based on their use-case. Refer here to know move about calling operations.
Once your calling operations are set, you have to setup a process.
Now, you can start configuring your process. You can pick from the suggested number groups or choose from the other existing number groups.
Next, start adding numbers to your feature sets.
Once all your configurations are done, click on Finish Migration.
You're all set! Welcome to the new console!
The migration support will be discontinued after September 30th, 2024. All listed numbers will be delisted and your account will be moved to the new console.
Please ensure all necessary actions are completed before this date. For any support, write to us at cs@truecaller.com.
All the new and upcoming features will only be supported on the new console and the support for old portal will be deprecated in near future.
Here's a sneak peek inside some of our brand new features:
Number Management APIs to automate your number management.
Role based access controls to define better controls over:
Numbers and their configurations
Analytics
Feature management.
Personalized communication spaces for meaningful engagements with Truecaller users.
All business numbers with verified and priority badges will be delisted, impacting your business operations. You will need to relist them in the portal and redo the configurations accordingly.
Depending on the total count of numbers that are listed on your account the time to create calling operations structure can also vary, but once all the numbers are moved the transition to new console is instantaneous.
How long will Truecaller for Business offer support for its migration portal?
Migration portal will be active till 30th September 2024. Businesses are expected to setup their new structure and list numbers within their respective configurations in the migration portal.
What happens if numbers are not migrated before the expected deadline?
Once you have begun the migration process, however, you will not be able to list new numbers on the older platform. All features in the older console will move to a “view only” state.
To list more numbers or configure any features, you will have to use the new console only.
We will keep you posted about any changes or deadlines regarding the migration to ensure the smoothest experience.
Does this affect all my clients?
No, it only affects clients that are on the older version of Truecaller for Business console.
How can I help my customers in making this migration smooth?
The new Truecaller for Business console gives customers the capability to set up their ‘Calling Operations’. ‘Calling Operations’ are day-to-day calling use-cases of a business. These are pre-defined on the platform to help businesses with a quick setup.
To ensure a smooth migration, you can ask your customers to group all their existing numbers into the pre-defined calling operations available in the new platform. This will ensure that once they migrate, their numbers are already bucketed into the new calling operations, reducing the overall time of the migration process.
The calling operations currently on the new Truecaller for Business console are:
Sales
Support
Delivery
Call support
OTP verification
24h support
Maintenance work
Product recall
File collection
Media
Scheduling team
Estimation call
