Phone Number
The Phone Number is the unique identifier for your sender and is the number from which end users will receive messages. The phone number will not appear anywhere in the truecaller app. This number is used for sender verification, message delivery, and compliance checks.
How to Enter the Phone Number
Select the country code from the dropdown (for example, +91, +1, +44)
Enter the mobile number without spaces, dashes, or special characters
The number must be in a valid format
Note
Once a phone number is registered as a sender, it cannot be edited or reused for another sender. To change the number, you must delete the existing one and create a new sender.
Example
Country code: +91
Phone number: 9xxxxxxxxx
Final format: +919876543210
Key Requirements
The phone number must be active and reachable
It must be capable of receiving OTP or verification messages
The number must not already be registered as a sender on another account or platform
Important Guidelines
Use a dedicated business phone number for each sender
Avoid personal or shared numbers
Your brand should own the phone number
If the phone number you're trying to onboard is already associated with an existing account on the truecaller app, you'll be required to verify ownership.
You can either choose a different number or upload a proof of ownership document to proceed. Accepted documents include a SIM purchase bill, telecom invoice, or any official document that clearly shows the sender owns the number. Supported formats are PNG or PDF.
Please note that the premium truecaller user account cannot be used to register a business chat sender
Country Code Selection
Ensure the selected country code matches:
The origin country of the phone number
The country where the number is legally registered
Incorrect country code selection may lead to:
Sender verification failure
Message delivery issues
Rejection during review
