# What are Roles and Permissions?

* Roles and Permissions help you define what you and your team can access within the Truecaller for Business console, based on assigned roles. 
* This ensures that you can assign users access to the functions, features, and data needed for their roles and responsibilities. Depending on the role assigned to a user, access can be determined for sensitive information and product functionalities within the Truecaller Business console.
